By: Anneke - What a day it was today... I won the overall Jeep king of the Mountain series!!! I am so stoked with that win and winning a Jeep car. Racing was really exciting today, there was a lot happening in the first couple of rounds. Brian Lopes was leading the series, but he was already out the first round. So who ever won the men's race today would take home the Jeep. Because Melissa Buhl crashed yesterday in qualifying I was up against her in the first round. So I had to be on top of my game in the first round, Melissa and I were both in the run for the overall title. My runs went great and I won both times from Melissa. In the semi final I was up against Fionn Griffiths...and again I won both runs. I had to get to the final to win the Overall ranking and I did!!!!

In the final I was up against Jill Kintner, my gate was good and I was in the lead... But then I made a stupid mistake and crashed in the corner. Jill took home the win today but I am taking home a Jeep!! Jared Graves and Michel Prokop were in the men's Final. Prokop won the first run and then Graves the second one, it was so close but Prokop won today's race and also wins the overall ranking.

Tara Llanes crashed hard in the second round against Kintner and they flew her to the hospital in Denver. She broke here lower back... I don't know all the details, but she had an operation last night. I feel terrible about this, my thoughts are with her and I wish her and her family all the best.
