Behind the scenes at the US Open of Surfing

The US OPEN OF SURFING went off again at Huntington beach, and boy was it a wild one. Alpinestars brought a dunk tank to the beach, giving all the fans a chance to soak their favorite athletes. Sunny Garcia was the first victim, and lets just say he got more water time then Shamu at Sea World. Sunny was an amazing sport, laughing, while at the same time provoking the fans to dunk him. Once the ever so popular freestyle motocross demo finished up each day, Sunny jumped out of the tank, and the Astars FMX team jumped in. FMX’s young star Myles Richmond jumped in the tank white as can be, and after riding couldn’t wait to get dunked. Myles wasn't even breaking a sweat because the fans stepping up couldn’t hit the red target. That changed soon enough, when a pack of pitchers stepped up to the place...Myles soon needed a snorkel he was under water so much.

Sadly in practice Australian FMX star Cam Sinclair when down hard, but was ok. Cam is such a tuff Aussie mate, he stuck around all weekend chilling with the Astars family, and getting dunked like crazy. Behind the dunk tank was the ever so popular Honda Soul Bowl, with Alpinestars BMX super rippers Chad Kagy & Ben Snowden killing it. Chad Kagy to no surprise ended up winning the over all event, the big air competition, and the annual manual going all the way around the wooden pool. The Honda US OPEN OF SURFING was amazing as always, and the hundred-thousand plus fans had a blast enjoying all the activities...so until next year hope you enjoyed.
