Conditions started off rough for the Philippine Dream Billabong Invitational. A tropical storm caused havoc on the contest site Tuesday night but once the storms were gone it was pure perfection for two days. All the riders were stoked to be there.

Astar athlete Makua Rothman (HAW) did well in his session, good enough to get him through the semi finals...but luck wasn't on Makua's side as his run ended at the semi's and he did not advance to the finals.
